Ghertner & Company — Nashville, TN

Software Engineer / Programmer Analyst | 2016–Present

Sole developer responsible for designing, deploying, supporting, and improving custom production software used across the company.

  • Own production applications on Microsoft Azure from requirements and implementation through deployment and ongoing support, using C#/.NET and SQL Server. Use Git and GitHub Actions CI/CD for recent development work, and maintain deployment documentation.
  • Built and operated an HOA budgeting and financial-reporting platform for eight years, then served as technical lead for its migration to Vantaca, working with the business owner and a cross-functional team to design and implement a 20-step approval workflow.
  • Reduced new-homeowner welcome-packet turnaround from more than 30 days to approximately four days by designing and deploying a tracking system that exposed process gaps and gave staff visibility into work in progress.
  • Developed and supported a work-order, bid-management, and purchase-order system integrated with Vantaca; later led the transition of the work-order function to Salesforce while the bid and purchase-order components remained in production.
  • Build and maintain integrations among Vantaca, CINC, SenEarthCo, QuickBooks, Salesforce, and OneLogin, along with Python reporting automation against secondary property-management databases.
  • Delivered production applications for financial approvals, meeting minutes, inspections, pool-key requests, and reimbursement workflows.

IT & Infrastructure | 2005–2016

Led technology operations and modernization as the company's primary internal IT resource.

  • Led the company-wide deployment of SenEarthCo, including vendor evaluation, deployment planning, staff training, and integration with the accounting system.
